Map-o-World publishes destination guides, itineraries and travel tips for general information and inspiration. It is a free-to-read publication funded by advertising. We do not sell travel products, take bookings, or act as a travel agent, tour operator or insurer.

Travel conditions change quickly. Visa and entry rules, safety advice, prices, opening hours, transport schedules and local laws described on the Site may be out of date by the time you read them, and may not apply to your nationality or circumstances. Before you travel you must verify current requirements with official sources such as your government's travel advisory service, the destination country's embassy or immigration authority, and the venue or carrier concerned.

Nothing on the Site is legal, medical, financial, safety or immigration advice. You are responsible for your own decisions, safety, health, insurance and compliance with local laws while travelling.

Our guides are researched from official tourism sources, transport authorities, local operators and recent traveller reports. We use AI tools to help draft and structure articles; a human editor reviews content before publication. We do not claim to have personally visited every place we write about. Details are in our Editorial & AI Policy. If you spot an error, please tell us and we will correct it.

You may browse the Site, share links to our pages, and quote short excerpts with a link back to the source page for personal, educational or journalistic purposes. You may not:

• • Copy, republish, translate or redistribute substantial parts of our articles or images without written permission
• • Use automated tools to scrape, harvest or bulk-download content, other than search engines and feed readers indexing publicly available pages
• • Interfere with the Site's operation, security or other users, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it
• • Use the contact form or newsletter to send spam, unlawful, defamatory or abusive material
• • Misrepresent your affiliation with Map-o-World or present our content as your own

All text, graphics, logos and the compilation of the Site are owned by or licensed to Map-o-World and protected by copyright and trade mark laws. Photographs are either our own or used under licence (for example the Unsplash License); the copyright in licensed photographs remains with their photographers. "Map-o-World" and our compass logo are our marks and may not be used without permission. If you believe content on the Site infringes your rights, email hello@mapoworld.com with the URL, proof of ownership and your contact details and we will investigate promptly.

If you send us story ideas, corrections, photos or other material through the contact form or by email, you confirm you have the right to share it and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, edit and publish it in connection with the Site, with credit where reasonably practical. Do not send confidential information. We are not obliged to publish or return submissions.

The Site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense and may contain affiliate links; if you buy something through an affiliate link we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Pages that contain affiliate links say so. Advertisers and affiliates do not influence our editorial choices.

Links to third-party websites (booking platforms, tourism boards, maps, social networks) are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, terms or privacy practices. Any dealings you have with third parties are between you and them.

By subscribing you agree to receive occasional emails about new guides and travel ideas. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing hello@mapoworld.com. We will not sell or rent your address.

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the Site at any time without notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Map-o-World and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, data, bookings, travel costs or opportunity, arising from your use of or reliance on the Site or its content, even if we were advised of the possibility of such loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims will not exceed one hundred US dollars (USD 100). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for fraud.

You agree to indemnify Map-o-World against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Site.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that you may also rely on any mandatory consumer-protection rights available in the country where you live. We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
