Harbor Highlights

Jorn Utzon's architectural masterpiece is Australia's most recognizable building. Take a guided tour to learn its controversial construction history, or simply admire it from the water. Catch a performance for the full experience.
Harbour Bridge
Walk across the bridge for free via the pedestrian path, or splurge on the BridgeClimb experience for panoramic views. The Pylon Lookout offers great photos at a fraction of the cost.
Circular Quay
Sydney's transport hub is the jumping-off point for ferries to beaches, islands, and harbor neighborhoods. Street performers entertain tourists watching the harbor traffic.
Beach Culture
Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk
This 6-kilometer trail connects Sydney's most famous beach to charming Coogee via dramatic cliffs, ocean pools, and secluded coves. Start early to avoid crowds and catch sunrise at Bondi.
Manly Beach
A 30-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay delivers you to this laid-back beach suburb. The Corso pedestrian mall connects harbor and ocean beaches with restaurants and shops.
Beyond the Harbor

Just two hours west, this World Heritage wilderness offers dramatic valleys, eucalyptus forests, and the iconic Three Sisters rock formation. The Scenic Railway claims to be the world's steepest.
Royal National Park
